Luxurious powerhouse performer Lu Chase embodies an authentic old school glamour that she defines as “Retro Chic” or “Shirley Bassey goes to Ibiza". Lu Chase is no stranger to the house scene have performed in many of South Africa's top house clubs and alongside heavy weight international artists such as Fatboy Slim, Audio Bullies, Stereo MC's and many more. Rory Rootenberg
Born in Johannesburg Rory attended the famed Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School. Later he studied singing with the well-known baritone Prof. Werner Nel of Potchefstroom University.

He went on to carve a niche for himself in professional show business, and starred in many productions both locally and abroad, amongst others Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Sound of Music, Me and my Girl and Crazy for You.

In 1997 he took the plunge and launched his first solo show Cadenza!, an irreverent romp through the classics. It played to capacity audiences and a rather bemused but delighted press, and showcased an impressive vocal range and falsetto of approximately four and a half octaves

In 2004 Rory was cast in the coveted role of the Phantom, in the Really Useful Group’s South African production of The Phantom of the Opera, playing Artscape in Cape Town and the State Theatre in Pretoria. He went on to perform his show “Behind the Mask”, around the country. In between all this he performs with Ian von Memerty in The Best of Ian and Rory, and with Jeremy Quickfall (of Handful of Keys) in “Both of Me”. He has also performed hightlights of his repertoire for very many delighted private corporate clients, as well as on board various cruise liners.

Martelize
Martelize has been perfoming since the tender age of 10 and released her first CD with her suster as the “ The Musical Dolls” at that age. Her 2nd & 3rd releases were on the shelves between 1998 and 2001. The “Musical Dolls” also did a vast tour of South Africa and Namibia and has also appeared on the popular TV programs such as “Noot vir Noot” and “Liriekeraai” during this period. They also performed at the country’s largest Music Festival, the Oudsthoorn KKNK, Aardklop and the Gariep Festival in Kimberley. Highlights were performances at Gold Reef City’s Hyper-drome and the Superbowl at Sun City.

Her greatest public exposure was when she entered the popular Idols competition in 2005 ending up as one of the top 12 contestants. Out of the 12000 participants, she managed to reach the Top 7 in the country. This obviously afforde Martelize huge media publicity and exposure.

Martelize has shared the stage with the likes of Steve Hofmeyr, Prime Circle, Juanita du Plessis and Kurt Darren. At the Oudtshoorn KKNK, she was chosen to perform with the Idols performers Heinz Winckler, Anke, en Karin Kortjie.

LEROI
At age 16, I was invited to enter the TV show “Supersterre” as hosted by singing sensation “Patricia Lewis”.

Here I was the youngest talent in Margate ever to have gone through to the Top 100 out of over 3000 competitors.

This culminated in me reaching the Top 25 at Southern Sun’s Carnival City.

I am a semi-finalist for the “Supersterre” season 3 hosted by singing sensation “Patricia Lewis” this upcoming year.

Other recent shows include M- Net Idols and performances as key singer at a number of key South Coast Festivals.

Recently, Wozani Africa Events approached and invited me to perform at one of their events which was held at Margate Main beach over the summer of 2007/2008 period sharing the stage with Son-nisha and Amor Vittone.

During winter holiday period The Lions Club duly sponsored me at their Lions Festival as held over 3 days on the KZN coast.

Huisgenoot, as key promoter, has further invited me to perform in their sponsored Sardine Festival as held at a number of Beach venues along the KZN coast . Key performers were Adam Tas, Etha,Annique Lourens and Viljoen Retief who al shared the stage with me. I also performed at Standerton skou August last year with Theuns Jordaan , Snotkop and Sonja Heroldt and performed at Margate this past holiday. I had an event at Nadine’s (This time I know) show in Standerton on the 9th of May and my very own live performance at the performer theater in Pretoria on the 31st of May 2009. And also going on Tour with Amor Vittone soon.

Currently I’m busy with my debut album which will include tracks written by myself and other cover versions done by Abba, Elvis and other South African legends in the Afrikaans music industry.

I further am a qualified Freestyle dancer which is used to enhance my onstage performances .In essence my performances are not only focused on a fresh stage performance using voice, but also combined with trained dance movement.

ODIDIVA
ODIDIVA, The First Lady of Live Singing Drag, is a sensation. Presented by accomplished performing artist, Odidi Mfenyana (Interrogation Room SABC 1, Lonely Planet 6degrees: Cape Town, Spier Poetry Exchange 2008, Stokvel SABC 2, Human Cargo CBC/Mnet, Charlie Jade CBC/SABC 3, BIG DADA – European & S.A. Tour), Odidiva is a persona of exuberant energy, bringing a sense of authenticity and theatre to the drag genre, where the focus is on talent and performance, rather than impersonation and mimicry.

Performing popular reinventions of hits by Amy Winehouse, Annie Lennox, Brenda Fassie, Tina Turner, Sade, and Roison Murphy while delivery sassy slam poetry and comical commentary. Odidiva has also produced hit house tracks with International D.J. stars Dino Moran (Bele - Café D’ Afrique Vol 1), Milk&Sugar ( Gumbafire - 3# Good Hope Fm) and Tony Finger (Say U Love Me – Zoo Club Paris Vol 2.).

Odidiva has just returned from a third Australian Tour of HOUSE OF THE HOLY AFRO, an international hit show co-created by Odidiva, Award-winning director Brett Bailey and Good Hope FM DJ Dino Moran. The show has toured extensively in Europe for almost 5 years and returns to Linz,Austria (EU Cultural Festival 2009 and Rich Mix Theatre London in July & August.

While in Australia Odidiva managed solo performances at SLIDE nightclub in Sydney, Australia, La Boheme cabaret bar, Adelaide, Australia and The Electric Light Hotel, Adelaide, Australia.

Odidiva opened the prestigious Grand Finale of Mnet’s FACE OF AFRICA 2008 in Sun City. Currently the Diva can be seen in the Public Broadcast Announcement music video, Strange Fruit directed by Jack Lewis, featured on all SABC channels, DSTV and YouTube.

Demi Moore
Born on the 7th of December 1989, Demi entered this world as a star with the surname of Moore. She started her vocal training at the age of 9 and played lead roles in various musicals. Her passion for singing won over her career as an Air Hostess and she decided to resign and pursue her singing career.

She came 2nd in Country Star Search of 2008. Demi’s more recent performances at music festivals include numerous shows at the KKNK, Bonnievale Bonanza, Ladismith Eco Festival, Lamberts Bay Crayfish Festival, Moorreesburg Show, Cuppa for Cancer, Pre-show for Strand High School with Emo Adams as well as many Corporate functions.

She recorded her first CD in April of 2009. Demi’s unique voice covers a wide variety of genres in her music in both Afrikaans and English and she known as a versatile vocalist.
