Wed 16 December 2009 – Off to Emerald City Parade & Carnival
Venue : Down Somerset Rd and back Time : 3pm to 5pm
Off to Emerald City Parade & Carnival promises to be an eye-popping spectacular with floats, paraders and street performers to hot go-go boys and lipstick dykes. The Parade will leave from the Traffic Department in Green Point and will sashay down to Sea Point where it makes a turn to Beach Road and ends off at the Prestwich School playground for the mammoth Emerald City Circuit Party.
Wed 16 December - Emerald City Circuit Party
Venue : Prestwich Primary School Time : 5pm to 11pm
The culmination of the Parade will be at the Prestwich School Primary school’s playground with a party to end all parties. There will be live performances, bands and singers as well as an aerial performance by the world renowned Zip Zap Circus. After sunset the whole place will turn into a party playground with a host of local and international DJs.
Thurs 17 December – The Sequence Slipper Cruise
Venue : The Nautilus Time : 5pm to 9pm
This is a not to be missed cruise out onto the Bay with plenty of surprises and cabaret-style entertainment that will appeal to the most discerning traveler. The cruise will be followed by a dinner at Café Manhattan in Main Road Sea Point. Limited availability, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Fri 18 December - The Naked Oz Bus Tour
Venue : Tulbagh – Shisa Guest Farm Time : 10am to 10pm
The bus tour will depart from Green Point and meander through to Tulbagh and on to Shisa Guest Farm for a fun day in the sun which includes the tasting of wines from the valley and a late afternoon meal round the pool. Clothing is an optional extra but not essential of course…Definitely one for the boys! Booking essential!!
Fri 18 December – The Oz Girls - Party Bus Tour (TBC)
Venue : CT City Time : 2pm to 6pm
The ladies also have a fabulous tour planned to take in the best sights and sounds of the Mother City followed by a truly sensational party at (venue to be confirmed) where the girls can let their hair down and swing with the best of them. A woman’s exclusive event. Booking essential.
Sun 20 December - Dorothy’s Farewell Party
Venue : Oudekraal Picnic area Time : 11am to 10pm
And, just when you thought it was all over, the Farewell to Dorothy Party is an event that will have you remembering this Festival for many years to come. A day to expose your bodies to the sun and, well let’s just get exposed! A variety of fun sporting events in the gayest ways possible will be staged from high heeled drag racing to tossing the handbag and some real manly stuff in between for all the butch boys (and girls) among us. Lots of food and drinks will complete the scene. Booking is a must as the space is limited.
